What’s in the box?
- Double-ended measuring spoon (5 and 15ml)
- 310ml measuring cup
- Easy-to read instruction booklet filled with hints, tips and recipes.
Unique oval baking pan
Unlike most bread machines, this model has an oval baking pan to bake a more rustic loaf – far more appealing than a standard bread maker’s square loaves – and the shape optimises the oven-like qualities of the machine to make a crisper crusted loaf.
Panasonic have spent a lot of time ensuring the ribs on the pan and kneading action of the paddle in this bread maker replicate the techniques of artisan bakers – and when you’re using the ‘raisin’ and ‘stuffed’ programmes, the blade’s rotations are certain to distribute the ingredients perfectly throughout the bread. The pan and the stirring/kneading paddle are coated with a durable ceramic non-stick lining which is free from BPA, PTFE and PFOA.
Digital display with simple controls
Easy-to-read, the digital display makes it clear how long is left to go with its countdown timer, and includes simple hand icons that alert you to any process that needs your help – such as adding raisins or sundried tomatoes to a ‘stuffed’ loaf. Simple push-button controls make it easy to select the programme that’s right for your bread, cake or jam recipe, as well as the size of loaf you’d like to bake, and whether you’d prefer a pale or darker golden crust.
18 pre-set programmes
- Crusty White – a simple white loaf with thick, crispy crust that’s great for serving with any meal.
- Crusty White Raisin – a crusty white loaf with the option to add nuts, sweets or dried fruit.
- Crusty White Stuffed – another crusty loaf, but with the option to add softer ingredients such as sundried tomatoes, olives, cheese or chocolate.
- Crusty Whole Wheat – for any family that prefers a healthy wholemeal or whole grain loaf, this recipe option produces a crispy crust and fine crumb texture.
- Crusty Whole Wheat Raisin – a crusty brown bread with added nuts, sweets or dried fruit.
- Crusty Lean – a thin-crusted white bread with no added sugar or butter, it’s similar to a baguette in texture.
- Lean Raisin – as above with the option to add nuts, raisins etc.
- Soft – makes a soft white bread that’s great for breakfast toast and sandwiches.
- Soft Raisin – a soft white loaf that lets you add dried fruit, nuts or seeds.
- Soft Rapid – for days when you forgot to set the timer, or when you’ve just returned from holiday and need a loaf of bread to feed the hungry travellers.
- Soft Raisin Rapid – a speedily baked loaf with added interest.
- Brioche – that deliciously rich continental bread recipe made with butter and eggs.
- Bake Only – for baking cake.
- Gluten Free Bread – this option makes the Croustina, the perfect bread maker for anyone who needs to avoid gluten in their diet.
- Gluten Free Cake – bakes a rich chocolate brownie cake with gluten-free ingredients.
- Bread Dough – mixes, kneads and raises the dough for you to lift out and bake a batch of buns or a truly rustic loaf in your oven. Maybe you’ll even try a plaited loaf?
- Pizza Dough – mixes, kneads and raises pizza dough for your Italian supper days when the family want to make their own pizza.
- Jam – makes jam-making easy-peasy, so you can enjoy the fruits of your garden or the local hedgerows without any other specialist equipment.
Inbuilt temperature sensors
Two temperature sensors track the internal temperature of the bread maker as you might expect, but they also check the room temperature to ensure your bread will always prove perfectly, no matter what the temperature in your home – so you’ll get consistent results regardless of the region you live in or the time of year.
Delay timer
The delay timer can be set up to 13 hours in advance of the baked result. So if you have friends coming for supper, but you’re busy with all the other elements of the meal, your bread maker will organise the bread to be ready at just the right time to go along with your starter. And of course, it’s a boon for busy breakfast times.
Auto shut-off
The Croustina will alert you to the end of a baking cycle with 8 audible beeps, and then shut down.

About Panasonic
Founded in 1918 just as electricity was becoming common in ordinary homes and long before wall sockets were commonplace, Panasonic began with the simple innovation of a double-socket light fitting that allowed people to use an electrical appliance at the same time as a light bulb – a truly revolutionary concept that genuinely made a difference to consumers’ lives! They progressed through many inventive firsts – the first electric iron, the first home hairdryer, the first refrigerator and the first microwave – too many to list… And they continue to innovate, invent and create electrical items that will make our lives easier, especially when it comes to improving technology that will enhance our cooking experience.
