If you enjoy the ritual of making coffee properly, from selecting the flavour-profile of the bean to the right shape cup, the Lakeland Barista Deluxe Bean-to-Cup Espresso Machine boasts the same tech you can get in designer machines, but at a down-to-earth price, so you can craft your perfect brew for less.

Integrated conical burr grinder

You’ve done the research on the best bean type (Arabica or Robusta?), you’ve tracked down your favourite flavour profile (Ethiopian or Colombian?), don’t let your dream cup of coffee fall at the last hurdle by getting the grind wrong.

Connoisseurs agree that burr grinding is by far and away the best milling method. Unlike traditional mills, which chop beans unevenly, the integrated conical burr system crushes your coffee into thousands of uniformly sized grains, without overheating, to preserve those delicate flavours and scents that make fresh coffee so satisfying.

With 30 grind settings to choose from, from course to fine, it’s easy to find the perfect texture, whether you’re brewing a bold espresso or a slow, comforting cafetière. Adjustable grinding time lets you tailor single or double shots, while the professional brewing system and solid die-cast aluminium portafilter work together to deliver beautifully rich, full-bodied flavour.

Intelligent temperature control

Unlike tea, where you use boiling water, scalding coffee will ruin the flavour. The precise temperature-controlled heating system avoids the burnt acidic taste that boiling water creates, so you can enjoy smoother, more satisfying results cup after cup.

Powerful 15-bar pressure pump

For espresso machines, as well as looking for wattage (like you would for a kettle), look for bar pressure. It controls how efficiently the water is pushed through the coffee – the more pressure applied, the more flavour will be extracted. We’ve designed our Barista Deluxe Bean-to-Cup Espresso Machine to deliver 15-bar pressure – the essential level to achieve a rich flavour and beautifully smooth layer of crema.

Back-lit control buttons

Some designer coffee machines come with over-complicated touchscreen control panels with endless menus to scroll through, when all you want is a cup of coffee. With the simple choice of either a single or double shot with just the press of a button, plus a dial for hot water and steam control, the Lakeland Barista Deluxe Bean-to-Cup Espresso Machine is refreshingly straightforward to use, yet still offers that reassuring sense that you’re making coffee properly.

Built-in steam wand

Providing the base for virtually all coffee creations, you can transform your freshly-ground and poured espresso into your preferred barista-style drink using the steam wand.

The professional steam frothing system creates smooth, glossy microfoam for cappuccinos, lattes and macchiatos, giving you plenty of scope to experiment with milk texture (and perhaps even a little latte art!)
